1. Contest Overview
The City of Virginia invites community members and visitors to participate in the “Picture This, Virginia!” Photo Challenge, celebrating the people, activities, and special moments that make the Iron Trail Motors Event Center a great place to visit!
Participants are encouraged to share original photographs showcasing their experiences at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center for a chance to win a $50 Visa Gift Card.
Submitted photographs may also be featured in future promotional and marketing materials for the facility.
2. Contest Period
The contest begins November 5, 2026, and ends November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central Time.
Only eligible entries submitted during this period will be considered for the prize drawing.
3. Eligibility
- Participants must be 13 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- Participants must have a valid Facebook or Instagram account.
- Photographs must have been taken at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia, Minnesota.
- No purchase, facility membership, or paid admission is necessary to enter.
- City of Virginia employees directly involved in administering the contest and their immediate household members are not eligible to win.
4. How to Enter
Participating is easy!
- SNAP IT! Take or select an original photograph capturing your favorite moment at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center.
- SHARE IT! Post your photograph on Facebook or Instagram during the contest period.
- TAG US! Tag the official Iron Trail Motors Event Center social media account and include the hashtag #PictureThisVirginia in your post.
- MAKE IT PUBLIC! Your post must be publicly visible so contest organizers can locate and verify your entry.
Entries must include both the facility’s social media tag and the official contest hashtag.
Participants may submit multiple eligible photographs. However, each eligible participant will receive only one (1) entry into the prize drawing, regardless of the number of photographs submitted.
5. Photo Requirements
To be eligible, photographs must:
- Be original photographs taken by the participant or photographs the participant has permission to submit.
- Feature activities, experiences, events, or spaces at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center.
- Be appropriate for a public, family-friendly audience.
- Respect the privacy and rights of individuals appearing in the photograph.
- Not contain offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Photographs may be taken during the contest period or may be previously captured moments at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center.
The City of Virginia reserves the right to disqualify photographs that do not meet these requirements.
6. Photo Permissions and Promotional Use
By submitting a photograph as part of the “Picture This, Virginia!” Photo Challenge, participants agree to the following:
- Participants retain ownership of their submitted photographs.
- Participants grant the City of Virginia a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to reproduce, publish, display, distribute, crop, resize, and otherwise use their submitted photographs for City of Virginia and Iron Trail Motors Event Center promotional, marketing, informational, and public relations purposes.
- This permission includes, but is not limited to, use on social media, websites, brochures, advertisements, flyers, newsletters, digital displays, printed publications, and other promotional materials.
- Photographs may be used during or after the contest period without additional compensation to the participant.
- Participants confirm that they have obtained permission from any identifiable individuals appearing in submitted photographs for the promotional uses described above.
- For photographs featuring identifiable minors, participants must obtain permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
- Participants confirm that they have the necessary rights and permissions to grant the City the photo-use rights described in these rules.
The City of Virginia may, but is not required to, identify or credit the photographer when using submitted photographs.
Submission of a photograph does not guarantee that it will be selected for promotional use.
7. Prize and Winner Selection
One (1) eligible participant will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the contest period. Drawing will be held on December 3, 2026 at 10 am.
Prize: One (1) $50 Visa Gift Card.
- The winner will be selected following the close of the contest.
- The winner will be contacted through the social media account used to submit the entry.
- The selected winner must respond within seven (7) calendar days of notification to claim the prize.
- If the selected winner does not respond within the required period or is determined to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.
- The prize is nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash by the City.
The prize drawing is based on chance. Photograph quality, creativity, likes, shares, and comments will not influence winner selection.
8. Publicity and Participant Information
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the City of Virginia may announce the winner’s name and publicly shared contest photograph in connection with the contest, subject to applicable law.
Personal information collected for contest administration will be used to verify eligibility, contact the winner, and distribute the prize, subject to applicable Minnesota data practices laws.
9. Contest Administration
The City of Virginia reserves the right to:
- Verify the eligibility of participants and submitted photographs.
- Disqualify entries that violate these official rules.
- Remove or decline to feature photographs considered inappropriate or unsuitable for promotional use.
- Modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if circumstances beyond the City’s reasonable control interfere with its fair administration, subject to applicable law.
All determinations regarding eligibility and prize selection will be made by the City of Virginia in accordance with these official rules.

Participants acknowledge that they are providing their contest entries to the City of Virginia, not to Facebook, Instagram, or Meta.
